Theophilio Experiences

Collection Statement by Edvin Thompson

RIDDIM is a vibration. A pulse. A call to move—not just your body, but your identity, your memory, your voice.

For Spring/Summer 2026, THEOPHILIO turns up the volume. This season’s collection channels the visceral energy of bashment parties, dance hall cassette covers, and Caribbean street culture, translating that rhythm into a visual mixtape of bold tailoring, sensual draping, and striking prints.

Across 25 looks, RIDDIM moves from stripes that wind like waistlines to graffiti scrawls layered over sequin suits and crochet paneling that nods to island heritage. We open with syncopated geometry—a zebra-striped off-the-shoulder catsuit—and close with an emerald gown that sweeps like a final dance at sunrise. In between, we shift from boxy linen shorts sets and structured tailoring, to mesh bodices, leather skirts, beaded bustiers, and carnival-ready headpieces—a medley of materials and motion.

The color story pulls from the Caribbean landscape and nightlife: sun-worn yellows, lush greens, deep black, rich reds, and the occasional shock of neon or metallic. Silhouettes oscillate between clean-lined suiting and freely draped gowns, reflecting both the discipline and abandon of the diaspora’s cultural expression.

This is more than fashion—it’s a sonic archive, worn loud. A celebration of diasporic pride, of sound systems as safe space, and of movement as legacy.

RIDDIM is a love letter to those who find freedom on the floor. To those who sweat, resist, and return to the beat. To the rhythm that reminds us—we’ve always belonged.
